Markowski, Paris

Sorry for the lo-res pic. I was in Paris and wanted to check out a few clothing/shoe stores and Markowski was near the top of my list. I had heard about them through PutThisOn as a maker of classic and affordable shoes.
The store was very friendly and welcoming. The staff is incredible, I wasn’t looking to buy a pair but George one of the workers talked to me for over an hour about the quality of the shoes in his store and those of all shoes everywhere, all in english. All the models I saw were solid, I have a couple of pairs of Allen Edmonds and they were in that class.
I asked him about options from buying from the States and he was really open and straightforward. He says to e-mail/call him and send a stencil of your foot, from there they can select the correct size and last to fit your foot. I will definitely be using the service in the future.
If you’re in Paris and have the time it’s a great spot to drop in on. They’ll spend the time to get you the correct shoes you want and give you insight into why they designed and built it that way. It was a very informative and friendly trip.
